    Hurt by Employees and Employer

I was scheduled to go with two other women to a 3 day conference I have wanted to attend for 2 years. One of the women has worked for us for 1 month, the other for under a year.I have been there for three years. Three days befor we were to go, the boss found there wasn't enough money for all of us. We would have to pitch in about 4 or 5 hundred each. One girl was going on holiday soon and could not do it. I am not in the position to pitch in either. I have a medical condition that makes it difficult for me some days, but I always make it in to work and no-one is the wiser.(they know I have it) I suggested that because I was haviang a flare-up,and was going to the doctor that day, I would try to get a letter from him to bow out. Everyone fell all over this and no-one made the suggestion that they would bow out, so now it is up to me. I know I made the suggestion, but couldn't they have done something better than that.

Reply: You should not take this so personal sometimes there are other reasons for the conference (like office workers getting together if you know what I mean). Talk to your supervisor about this at your evaluation inorder to be considered for next conference.
