    boss not paying me....... help

    I just moved to this country and i dont know how law works here, the thing is, I used to work for this company for 3 months, suddenly the supervisor doesnt like me and fires me. one week later I receive my check and they are paying me Florida minimun wage, mi check was almost half of what I usually get. I dont know how it works here in the US, i never signed anything saying my hourly payment, so i i dont know if they r alowed to do this. please advice

    Reply: Get in contact with Fair Housing and Equal Employment or the Florida State labor board. Look it up on the Internet or ask at the unemployment office in your area. Your employers records and bookkeeping will show your normal wage until the time you your last paycheck was drafted, so no, it's not legal unless you were informed that you were being demoted.
