    Co-worker, ex- friend

It's been going on for two years. We started the company the same day and immediately became friends. I was relocated to a different state, and then she followed months after. Thinking that our friendship would grow stronger, I allowed her to move in with me and my boyfriend, at the time. She ended up finding her own place..and then she started to slip away. I would invite her out, and she was always too busy for me, but later would tell me about all the people she met and hung out with. I couldn't figure it out. We talked about it once because I thought she didn't like my boyfriend. She said that wasn't the case. Now we don't even talk much at all at work...and I don't know why I can't let her friendship go. It's so uncomfortable having to see her everyday. Fellow co-workers have told me about some of the nasty things she's said about me. I don't know why she's upset with me. I'd really love to have a verbal match with her, but I'm far to professional for that...after all we have to work together. Any suggestions?

Reply: You did your part by trying to talk to her. Sounds as if she may be jealous of you and being petty. I would ignore her but keep it cordial.Let them talk all the want. At the same time watch your back she could try to get you in trouble. Iam a beatiful young lady in a office full of women who talk about me all day to other but I don't let them be the reason to knock my way of living.
