    Confiding in a backstabber

I confided a personal matter to a coworker I used to work with (now on different job in same place) and now she has made a comment that I cannot overlook...and don't want anything to do with her. It finally showed me that she is one of "them". I considered myself savvy when it came to keeping my mouth shut regarding personal info at work..but, I was vulnerable one day and regret immensely. I feel violated, because I know that most coworkers don't care about anyone. It is all about the latest "news".

I made an error and wonder how I proceed in just keeping away from her and ignoring. She doesn't know I plan to stop talking to her..happened the other day.

Horrible work has to be this way. I wish there wasn't so many like this?

Reply: I'd had the same problem and it's a shame. I don't know why people have to have such big mouths. Be nice to have a loyal coworker.
