Everything has changed since coming back after illness.

I was off work for a couple of months due to illness. This is the first time I had been off work since starting a few years ago. However, apart from the fact that there had been "new rules", put in place, which nobody bothered to tell me about until I broke them, there was a new person started who seemed to be under the impression that she could do my job better that me. She had changed things around, pushed her way into doing all the jobs I was used to doing, plus jobs that I have not yet been given the chance to try. This person does not take a tea break, and stays late for no apparant reason. I have tried to like this person, but for some reason she just make my blood boil. I have told someone else about this as it was really getting to me, (someone outside my workplace) but I heard part of a conversation the other day, and I am sure this person is phoning my boss to let him know whats going on. It was only after I heard part of the conversation that I rememered that they had asked me for my works phone number. Has anyone else been in this type of situation, and if so can they advise me on how to deal with this?
