[Back to message list] [Reply to this topic] [Start a new topic] Constantly NegativePosted by: Jsawyer19 I have an employee who is always complaining about everything from the way someone looks at her to explaining why? she made the mistake. Examples: Employee is a Cashier with a large home improvement store 1) Ask for a day off and the request was either not received or it was lost. The employee ask me if I had resolved the problem as she needed that day off. This was on March 8th and on March 9th, the first words out of her mouth is "How about my day off", I told her I would have an answer today for her. In the mean time one of my direct reports clock in and the employee perceeds to tell her I haven't answered her request and she had ask me yesterday. 2) Cashier was short X amount of dollars and when I had her sign documenting stating she was short, her response was "There is no way!". She went ahead an signed the paper, however, the very next morning she tried blaming some of my direct reports for this shortage. She feels they did not perform a void properly. I explained to her that bookkeeping did not see anything to resemble the amount she is out. Never accepts blame for anything she does wrong. 3) Always commenting to other employees about other employees in a negative statement. Ex: One of our associate has had a serve gum infection and it appears that the associate has smokless tobacco in the left side of the mounth. It stated to an employee that someone needs (Assist Manager) should check the associate mouth for tobacco. The associate found out and his highly upset. 4) You can address ANY problem, situtation and she has a postive reply for it. Never accepts any type of responsiblility. I address one simple incident that should have taken 5 minutes and it ended up taking 1hr 20 minutes. She then proceeded to tell our HR person a spoke to her in a demening way. HELP!
