I have 5 other receptionists who are excellent in their job. As a receptionist they are required to do only two things - book patients into the computer and answer the telephone. The lazy receptionist dawdles with the patients and lets the phone ring until sometimes it rings out. The idea of this is for one of the other receptionists to answer the telephone or, when they are absent from the desk, I have come to the rescue to answer the phone, so that now she "waits me out". Today I was determined not to answer it and it "rang out" about 4 times. She then had the gall to point out the importance of answering the phone after 4 rings - obviously expecting me to answer it. Does anybody have any ideas as to what I should do to bring her into line with the other receptionists?
