co-worker with an attitude and gossiping problem

    Hello:

I have been reading some of the forms on this websitre. This is my first time visiting this site and I quite like it. I am also facing some extreme personality conflict problems with some of the people on my team. I work for a very large organization and I have 20 people in my office. There is this one girl who is in her late 20s. She has an attitude issue. I try my best to keep peace with her but most of the time she finds way of either pick on me or put me down in front of other people. for example just this morning I completed an important task for the team and I emailed the team about it. She also gets an email and starts talking about it that "how come people have to use email system all the time. I (meaning her) does stuff too but never emails out the conformations etc". She showed me attitude the whole day. Didn't talk to me. My only confusion is that I am just trying to do my job here. I don't like to get in to arguements with her as my fear is that she will start talking bad about me behind my back and would try to put me on everyones bad list in the ofice. I am not sure what to do in this case. Any advise/help will be appreciated.

    thank you
